There isn’t a single Halloween movie I love more than Hocus Pocus. Nearly every Halloween as a kid my mom would bribe me out of taking me trick-or-treating by buying me a barbie, some candy, and renting Hocus Pocus. I still watch the movie to this day. And apparently so do plenty of Black girls.
One of them, in fact, came up with a genius way to bring back the ’90s classic in this age of remakes and reboots and, of course, her idea is to do it with an all-Black cast.
So who would play the Sanderson sisters you ask? Look no further than the image below.
So this image. Stay w me. Hocus Pocus remake w these 3. Chance the Rapper as Max, Quvenzhané Wallis as lil sis & Zendaya as Allison. pic.twitter.com/gkwy14oFmU

Perfection, right?
As you can see from the tweet, the casting didn’t stop there. Sis also suggested studios bring on Chance the Rapper to play Max, Quvenzhané Wallis as lil sis and Zendaya as Allison. And she threw Kendrick Lamar in the mix for the role of Thackery Binx.
Kendrick Lamar as the voice of Thackery Binx. We need this for the culture.

As should come as no surprise, Black Twitter was all the way here for the idea. And that may be all that’s needed to make this happen.
It’s so perfect. I need it now! pic.twitter.com/CmDl9ZwwMb

Remember the woman who posted a photo of Rihanna and Lupita together at a fashion show and came up with an entire film plot about them scamming white men? And remember when the ladies were into it and then Ava DuVernay and Issa Rae came on board and the idea went from tweet to reality? I wouldn’t be surprised if the same happens with this Hocus Pocus idea. But would you be here for it?
