Earlier today we showed you a very rare image of the late David Bowie and Iman’s daughter Lexi Bowie. The supermodel shared a picture of the teen on Instagram this past weekend. When we thought of the number of times we’d actually seen Lexi out with her parents in public and at events, we realized that it was pretty uncommon. It made us think of life before social media. We’re talking about the times before celebrities shared every photo they took of their child and before they put together social media accounts for their kids when they were barely out of the womb. The times when stars had children and kept them out of the spotlight so that they didn’t have to live a life they didn’t ask to — unless, of course, they wanted to when they got older.
